Seminar on Living with Liver Cancer

If you happen to visit NY next weekend, there is a free educational event about liver disease and liver cancer organized by the Living with Liver Cancer Worldwide Awareness Program. It will be an excellent opportunity to learn more about liver diseases and liver cancer including Hepatitis B.

WHAT IS HEPATITIS B?

  • Hepatitis B is the most common liver disease in the world; in fact, this has affected millions of people all over the world. This disease is caused by Hepatitis B Virus (HBV), which can cause cirrhosis and liver cancer later in life. This virus can be transmitted by contacting infected blood, having unprotected sexual intercourse, sharing/reusing needles, and giving birth to a child whose mother is infected.
